Highlights
The state of Gujarat has, over the past few years, emerged as an economic powerhouse. Be it manufacturing, services, foreign investment or, importantly, the maritime and logistics sector, it has been a leader and a pioneer in taking bold steps and formulating initiatives that have been examples for others to follow. It's no wonder then that the state has been registering growth rates much faster than the national average in recent years, under the dynamic leadership of its Chief Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.
Gujarat is without doubt the country's number one maritime state. With its 1,600 km coastline, it not only has the leading Major Port in terms of cargo handled, but also a well developed network of non-major ports (that handle an overwhelming majority of India's state port cargo), besides other maritime facilities. The state's initiatives in this sector have been driven by the proactive measures taken by the Gujarat Maritime Board (GMB), which has come out with many a pioneering policy.
To focus on this extraordinary success in developing ports, ports-led infrastructure and logistics facilities, Exim India is organising the 4th Edition of Gujarat Junction 2012, encompassing an Exhibition, CEO Forum & Awards on 6-7 November, 2012 at The Grand Bhagwati, Ahmedabad .
The event aims at providing a common platform to key participants in the success story of Gujarat's maritime industry, like leading developers, operators, users, logistics service providers, equipment manufacturers, regulatory authorities, policymakers and investors, to come together to deliberate on the present and future of the sector in the state, in the wider context of its place in the larger Indian maritime and logistics scenario.
So participants can look forward to well researched presentations, focused deliberations, pertinent queries, display of the latest products and services, and, of course, an excellent networking opportunity.
Gujarat Junction 2012, therefore, is the place to be this November.
